Baking in Conway since 1987
Maggie Buntaine opened Maggie’s Cookies in 1987, back when it was one of the first sweets shops in Conway. Getting started wasn’t easy. The banks turned her down at first, telling her a cookie shop wasn’t something you could make a living off of. So Maggie did what she does best: she brought a batch of cookies to the bank. Two hours of conversation later, her favorite banker told her he believed in her dream.
Nearly forty years later, Maggie’s Original Cookie Company is still baking on Prince Street. The cookies are the same ones Conway has loved since the beginning, plus the trays, bars and decorated cookies that have become part of birthdays, showers and holidays all over town.
